The Father Cuchulain Moriarty Award recognizes an extraordinary pro bono contribution to the Lawyers’ Committee Asylum Project.
WHY WE ARE HONORING HER
Nadia Farah has been a fearless and committed pro bono volunteer with LCCR. A skilled and experienced immigration attorney, she takes on difficult and demanding cases with enthusiasm and a fierce dedication to successfully winning justice for her clients. She and her staff’s multilingual abilities allow her to take on a wide variety of clients, working with migrants and asylees in Spanish, Farsi, and other languages. Not only has her personal passion for immigrant justice driven her commitment, but her skill as an attorney has made her extraordinarily successful in obtaining asylum for her many clients.
Nadia Farah is the founder and managing attorney of the Law Offices of Nadia Farah, P.C., where she has been practicing immigration and nationality law since 1994. Throughout her decades of practice, Ms. Farah has been dedicated to supporting the rights of immigrants, often offering her services pro bono to those in need. As a native of Iran and former asylee herself, Ms. Farah is passionately committed to defending immigrants from removal processes, assisting family members seeking to rejoin their loved ones, and assisting asylees who look to rebuild their lives in the United States.
